I paint to capture the spirit of Maine—its rugged coastline, ever-changing skies, and the wild birds that call it home. Using both oil and watercolor, I explore the quiet drama of this landscape, where the cry of a gull or the shadow of a raven can shift the mood of a moment.

Ravens, in particular, appear often in my work. Mysterious, intelligent, and deeply symbolic, they embody the edge between the seen and unseen, the known and the wild. Through them, and the many other birds that grace Maine’s shores and forests, I reflect on resilience, solitude, and the stories carried on the wind.

Whether it’s the shimmer of light on tidal water or the lift of wings against a stormy sky, my goal is to evoke a sense of presence—of being rooted in place, attentive to nature’s rhythms, and connected to the quiet life all around us.
